Terms of Service

Rooots Personal is a subscription household-management application. Features may change over time as we improve the product.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account.

You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

Each account is for a single household. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for having the right to store information about the people in your household.

New households start with a 7-day free trial. No credit card is required to begin the trial.

After the trial, Rooots Personal is $29/month for the whole household, billed through Stripe until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from Settings → Plan & Billing; your plan remains active through the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Your use of the service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Don’t use Rooots to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or disrupt the service.

You keep ownership of the content you put into Rooots. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, process, and display it back to you so we can run the service.

You’re responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important; while we take care with your data, no service is infallible.

Sterling and other automated features are provided to help you, but they can make mistakes. Do not rely on them for legal, financial, medical, or tax advice — confirm important decisions with a qualified professional.

The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rooots is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

You can stop using Rooots and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

We may update these Terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new version.

If you provide a mobile phone number — including when you place an order or service request by phone with a business that uses Rooots — you consent to receive transactional text messages about your order or service (confirmations, secure payment links, reminders, and status updates). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of purchase.
